Ouse Washes Molly - News
HERITAGE LOTTERY FUNDED...
We are currently involved in a performing arts project to explore the
heritage and traditions of the Fens touring 24 schools in Cambridgeshire and
Norfolk over the next three years. The project provides the children with
cultural identity and an understanding of the character of the Fens through
hearing stories and exploring Molly Dancing. The project is current in four
Cambridgeshire schools where pupils are exploring the rituals of local song
and dance with Ouse Washes Molly Dancers and Musicians. Each part of the project
is then recorded in full colour as a memento for each of the children (and their
families) involved .
Chris and Ingrid Tarrant join Ouse Washes for a bit of Missippippi...
Later this year (Autumn 2006) all three of you OWM fans will be able to
snuggle up to your tellies and watch us perform with Chris and Ingrid Tarrant!
We were invited to join the couple as they were filming for an episode of
Tarrant's Way. The show follows them as they drive around the UK in Ingrids
vintage Bentley.
Their travels take them on a journey of discovery of the quirkier side of
life in our green and pleasant land.
We met them late afternoon on the top of Cromer Cliffs (Norfolk) after they
had completed an earlier session on the pier.
Join us as we whip them into shape for a bit of a Zig-Zag reel and some
celebrity Molly Coddling
